Who can use Genie 4 today?

Genie 4 access is currently described as a research preview for trusted testers in Google DeepMind’s October 27 announcement. The same announcement names Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and early-access partners in the Gemini API and Google AI Studio as upcoming audiences.

These statements describe different stages. A research announcement, a waitlist application and an enabled account are not interchangeable. If your account does not show the model, an article or subscription receipt cannot make it available.

Use the official waitlist link

  1. Open the official announcement and follow its Project Genie waitlist link. Our direct Google-linked waitlist shortcut points to that same form.
  2. Read the form’s current eligibility and information requests. Complete it on Google’s page, using the account you intend to use if invited.
  3. Keep the confirmation, if one is supplied. Joining expresses interest; it is not an access code or a guaranteed place.
  4. Follow the provider’s subsequent instructions. Check the actual product for model availability before planning a session.

This website does not collect applications, manage the queue, issue invitations or sell priority access. You do not need to enter your Google password here.

Does Google AI Ultra include Genie 4?

Google names AI Ultra as an upcoming consumer route in Project Genie. The announcement does not establish that every existing Ultra account already has Genie 4. Eligibility can depend on the provider’s rollout, account and location rules.

A standalone model price, per-session charge and universal release date are not specified in that announcement. A price displayed for a broader Google plan should not be republished as a Genie 4 price. Before paying, check the provider’s current plan page and the exact entitlement you need.

Project Genie and Genie 4 are different things

Project Genie is an experimental experience for creating and exploring worlds. Genie 4 is a model. Older instructions for that experience can refer to Genie 3 and an earlier set of controls.

When following a tutorial, record its date and the model it describes. An earlier workflow can help explain the general idea without proving that every menu, limit or feature remains the same. Our generation comparison makes that distinction explicit.

If the model is missing from your account

First identify what is missing: the product, a model selection, an invitation or a supported location. Record the exact message rather than assuming the service is down. Compare it with the latest official announcement or in-product help.

Avoid buying an unofficial installer to solve an account rollout issue. Do not assume a browser extension can unlock server-side eligibility. Never share a password, recovery code or session cookie with someone claiming to accelerate a waitlist.

For developer access, use the API and download status guide. For preparation while waiting, draft a small scene using the local prompt builder; it works without a model account and does not generate a world.
